Pricing

The total cost of an ADHD assessment is $1300. This includes up to 5 hours of face-to-face interview and an individually tailored report at the end.

If you are a new client, you will be asked to pay for a standard initial intake appointment (1.5hours = $315). Here Kelly will review and discuss the screeners that you will have completed ahead of the session and discuss your goals for assessment (i.e. self-understanding, workplace accommodations). If further analysis is deemed appropriate by the end of this session, Kelly will book you in for additional cognitive testing and provide you with relevant next steps. Alternatively, your symptoms could be related to another mental health diagnosis and so further testing may not be warranted. In this scenario Kelly will let you know her thinking and discuss alternative recommendations (i.e. ongoing therapy sessions with a different diagnostic focus).

Cognitive Testing (approximately 1-2hours): Should further investigation of your symptoms be required, Kelly will use this appointment to assess for symptoms of attention-deficit based on diagnostic criteria, symptoms of hyperactivity-impulsivity, relevant impairment based on your symptoms and seek information from an outside observer such as a partner, or parent. From there, the information will be collated into a report which will be presented to you at your next appointment.

Outcome appointment (approximately 1.5-2hours): At this appointment you will be provided with an personalised report, based on your previous sessions and assessments. The report will contain a personalised review of your symptoms, individualised recommendations and strategies for ongoing support, differential or co-occurring diagnoses and other next steps that may work best for you. Next steps might include non-medication options like additional therapy, or other strategies specifically tailored to your individual strengths and challenges.

If you are thinking about medication, you will be referred back to your GP who can then refer you to a psychiatrist for support (note: psychologists cannot provide medication recommendations or management). You will of course be given your report which you can take to your GP/psychiatrist, and they’ll work with you to see if medication is the right choice for you.

*NOTE* ADHD assessments are not eligible for Medicare rebates, and are not covered under a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
